Everyone should be taking ownership in their own community. It is easy to imagine that the grass is greener on the other side, but in most scenarios, that is not the case. There is no utopia. There is always a way to improve your community, and you can be the one to do it.
The following video was passed along to me by Mary Hall-Rayford, and I wanted to share it with you. It calls for everyone to take extreme ownership. The speaker Jocko Willink is a Navy SEAL, and he speaks of his time at war. But his video resonates to all areas of life. Don't blame others for problems or issues in your community. Step up and take respsonsibilitiy. Nothing will be solved by complaining. Some issues are tough. They will take time. But the time spent will make it worth it.
